About Me: I graduated in 2013 from Kansas State University with my BS in Secondary Education and my BA in Spanish. I am currently working on my MAEd from Baker University which I will be completing in May 2019. I am married with one son and a mischievous cat.

Spanish I

Grade Levels 9, 10, 11, & 12

Full year course

No prerequisite

In this introductory class, students study the rudiments of spanish grammar, as well as the culutre of Spanish-speaking populations. Students demonstrate their language ability by reading, writing, listening and speaking in the target language. Upon completing Spanish I, students will be able to converse in the present tense in a variety of situations.

Spanish II

Grade Levels 10, 11, & 12

Full year course. 

Prerequisite: Spanish I

Students review the basic concepts presented in Spanish I. Studies will continue their study of the rudiments of Spanish grammar, as well as the culture of Spanish-speaking populations. Students demonstrate their language ability by reading, writing, listening and speaking. Upon completing Spanish II, students will be able to ask and answer questions in the present and past tenses. They should have skills that will allow them to communicate in a Spanish speaking country.

Spanish III

Grade Levels 11, & 12

Full year course. 

Prerequisite: Spanish II

Students will further develop their knowledge and ability to apply the Spanish language in real world situations. Students will demonstrate their language ability by speaking, listening, reading and writing in the target language. Upon completing Spanish III, students will be able to converse in the language at an intermediate level. Course work will focus on advanced vocabulary & grammar, as well as student lead curriculum.
